Community

Gardner Martial Arts prides itself on being locally owned martial arts school, and we try to repay by being active in and giving back to the community.  Below are some of the things we are active in.

We are currently the only martial arts school in Gardner that is a member of the Chamber of Commerce.

We have a booth at the Halloween Boo Bash which is put on by the Parks and Rec. Department and allows parents and children to trick or treat in a fun, safe area, as well as games and other “ghoulish” areas, all for free!

We are participating with all of the fundraising festivities on the evening of June 8th for Justyn Newman.  A brave young man has been diagnosed with Perthes Disease.  Click his photo to visit his page and we’ll see you at Cornerstone Park on June 8th!

We have a booth in the “Kids on Elm” area at the Festival on the Trails event.  A free, day long event geared towards kids, parents, adults, and beyond.  Children’s area, food midway, car show, and concerts make for a great day to celebrate Gardner!

Since opening our school in Edgerton, we have had a booth at the Edgerton Frontier Days.  We had a booth during the Family Night and allowed kids, young and old, to try their hand at our ninja throwing star game as well as do some supervised board breaking!

We have been asked to teach some basic martial arts to some very special athletes.  We are humbled and honored to work with these Olympians this summer!

We have continued to be a supporter of the Johnson County Fair each year, walking in the parade, handing out suckers.

We have even helped USD231 by participating in the parent date nights at the elementary schools by holding mini-classes for the kids they were baby-sitting allowing the parents a rare night out.

In addition to all of these things, we have made donations to the Kiwanis Gardneropoly, Midwest Home School Association, and Edgerton PTSA.  We are more than happy to give back to the community.  If you have a request, please drop us a line and let us know.
